Since Bernd Abelmann started out as an IT service provider in the 1990s, the technical landscape and legal regulations for the secure handling of data have changed significantly. The Managing Director of SYS-time takes a relaxed view: ‘You grow with your tasks,’ he says in his typical Brandenburg accent. He is deeply rooted in the region. Abelmann has offices in Berlin and Luckenwalde, from where he serves business customers of all sizes. At SYS-time, the official staffing level of two people is no obstacle to comprehensive service: For large-scale projects, such as the complete renewal of complex infrastructures, the company relies on a reliable network of specialists.

‘It all depends on the project,’ says Abelmann. ‘There is no such thing as a typical SYS-time customer. Sometimes it's about network planning, sometimes server virtualisation, sometimes Voice over IP. The challenges are always different, so we bring in people as required.
