Powerful content filter with various regulations
In addition to the desire to improve IT security, the reasons for the changeover included the requirement to use a powerful content filter with workplace-specific regulations. In addition, it should be possible to use multiple Internet access points conveniently, flexibly and securely, and finally, the company's numerous locations should be equipped with high-performance VPN connections, whose permanent availability is important for the success of the company. The Securepoint UTM solution met these requirements.
Feasibility test with the UTM firewall was convincing
To check the feasibility of the requirements profile, a test lasting several weeks under real conditions was agreed with Securepoint GmbH in Lüneburg, which was to run for around 4-6 weeks. In March 2014, the time had come: the Securepoint UTM appliance RC200 was put into test operation and subjected to extensive tests with regard to the requirements profile, general performance and stability.
The tests were so successful that JOYDIVISION international AG decided to immediately take over the test deployment for regular use. The Securepoint UTM appliance RC200 has been in successful use since May 2014.
