Protecting sensitive patient data on mobile devices with Securepoint Mobile Security
REKA Ambulante Krankenpflege GmbH (https://reka-pflegedienst.de) is an outpatient nursing service with 45 employees from Diekholzen in the district of Hildesheim in Lower Saxony. The company has been in existence for 25 years and specialises in nursing care for the elderly and sick, treatment care, care and respite services, respite care, palliative care, home help, home emergency calls and counselling.
REKA and the care sector as a whole are facing a particular challenge: digitalisation. The introduction of digital patient files and digital instead of analogue work documentation are decisive steps in this direction. The initial situation for REKA: in future, employees are to document their work using a software solution on tablets and smartphones. The full-service agency and IT service provider LNIT.Media.IT.Web. advised the outpatient care service on this technical changeover.
An important prerequisite for the changeover for REKA was the fulfilment of the requirements of the European General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR). This had to be considered in particular with regard to the processing and protection of extremely sensitive patient data.
Set your own IT rules with Securepoint Mobile Security
